Ricardo is the Cofounder and CEO of AngelPolitics, the political fundraising network that empowers millions of donors to connect with one another; discover candidates; and turn donations into smart contributions. Prior to AngelPolitics, Ricardo provided his expertise in technology, operations and fundraising to the winning Mayoral campaign of Angel Taveras for the City of Providence, RI. As the campaign CIO, he restructured the technology strategy on web, data, analytics and introduced virtual call centers, mobile campaigns and, most importantly, contributed to the fundraising efforts by tapping into his networks in NYC and Silicon Valley.

Prior to his successful campaign experience, Ricardo pursued an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business, which he completed in May, 2010. In conjunction with the program, he served as an Associate to the NYC Mayor’s Office partnering with Senior Policy advisors and Agency Commissioners on developing two landmark projects: 1) The NYC Technology Efficiency Plan, the 2020 technology blueprint for NYC generating cost-saving measures of $100MM over the next decade and 2) the first ever Agency-wide Customer Service Initiative in NYC impacting over 36 million yearly requests from New Yorkers.

From 2000 to 2008, prior to his MBA, Ricardo founded and led the NY based technology solutions company, Etectonics. His company managed IT support for hundreds of businesses in the Tri-State area. Etectonics also developed projects for clients such as Best Buy Inc., The New York Public Library, IBM, and various diplomatic agencies. His leadership led Etectonics to be the recipient of the 2007 New York Enterprise Report Best Technology Practice Award.

Ricardo is President of the Scarsdale Alumni Association, Chair of the Technology Committee of the New America Alliance and Board member of the NYU Alumni Association.
